The Heritage Council was delighted to take part in the Department of Culture and RIAI’s workshop on Town Centres on Friday 12th June, in order to inform the emerging National Policy on Architecture. Alison Harvey was invited to give a presentation on the Heritage Council and Partners’ innovative CTCHC Programme – see Alison’s slides below. Orla Murphy also gave a presentation on the work of FreeMarket. A lively group discussion followed the two presentations and this went on until 5pm, an hour over the envisaged end of the event! Virginia Teehan, Chief Executive was part of the group discussion along with Heritage Council board member Dr Miriam Fitzpatrick and Colm Murray, Architecture Officer.
