D’fhógair an Chomhairle Oidhreachta agus an tAire Tithíochta, Oidhreachta agus Rialtais Áitiúil, James Browne, TD agus an tAire Stáit Dúlra, Oidhreachta agus Bithéagsúlachta, Christopher O’Sullivan, TD go roinnfear maoiniú €2m idir 18 mbaile stairiúla faoi Thionscnamh na mBailte Stairiúla (HTI) 2026. Comhthogra é HTI idir an Roinn Tithíochta, Rialtais Áitiúil agus Oidhreachta agus an Chomhairle Oidhreachta. Cabhróidh an maoiniú €2m le poist a chur ar fáil trí athnuachan faoi stiúir na hoidhreachta agus tacóidh sé le scileanna tógála traidisiúnta.
The Heritage Council has welcomed the appointment by Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary TD, of Éamon Ó Cuív TD as Chair of Comhairle na Tuaithe (The Countryside Council).
