National Biodiversity Week 2025
Celebrate Ireland's natural heritage throughout National Biodiversity Week.
National Biodiversity Week, co-ordinated by the Irish Environmental Network (IEN), takes place from 16th to 25th May 2025.
The aim of National Biodiversity Week is to connect people with nature through a series of nationwide events that focus on communicating the importance of Ireland's biodiversity and how we can all play our part in protecting it.
Events are organised by IEN, Local Authority Biodiversity Officers, Local Authority Heritage Officers, (supported by the Heritage Council), and many national and local organisations and community groups

National Biodiversity Week is coordinated by the Irish Environmental Network and funded by the National Parks and Wildlife Service of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
