Heritage Organisations Support Fund

Heritage Council Scheme

This fund supports core operational work, not standalone projects. It helps heritage organisations to remain stable, plan for the future, invest in staff and governance, and contribute to climate action and public benefit. All funded work should align with the goals of The Heritage Council's Strategic Plan 2023-2028.

Historic Towns Initiative

The Historic Towns Initiative aims to provide support to historic towns engaged in a programme of heritage-led regeneration.

Heritage Stewardship Fund

Heritage Council Scheme

A scheme to support funding to support heritage-focused projects undertaken by public sector bodies - including local authorities, state agencies, and educational institutions with responsibility for heritage assets or programmes.

Community Heritage Grant Scheme

This scheme is intended to enable communities and heritage non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to continue their work on existing heritage projects or to start new initiatives.

It opens in February each year.

Traditional Farm Building Grant Scheme

The principal objective of this scheme is to ensure that traditional farm buildings and other related structures that contribute to the character of the landscape and are of significant heritage value, are conserved for active agricultural use.

Waterways Ireland - Community Heritage and Biodiversity Grant

The aim of this scheme is to support projects that compliment or fulfill the delivery of the Waterways Ireland Heritage Plan.

Urban Regeneration and Development Fund

The third round of URDF funding support, will be specifically designed to address long term vacancy and dereliction across our URDF cities and towns and the acceleration of the provision of residential accommodation.

Town and Village Renewal Fund

The Town and Village Renewal Scheme is designed to support the revitalisation of rural Ireland through a renewed focus on town centre economic and social vibrancy and regeneration in line with the Town Centre First policy.
