Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is the EU’s flagship programme for education. It addresses both formal and non-formal education and training, and also focuses on youth, sport, and culture. Erasmus+ promotes lifelong and inclusive learning across Europe, therefore contributing to sustainable growth and innovation, social cohesion, and active EU citizenship.

€26.2 billion in funding for rolling calls between 2021 and 2027

There are set lump sum amounts for a Partnership project which contribute to the cost of eligible activities linked to the implementation of the project. You can choose between the pre-defined amounts according to the activities you wish to undertake and the results you wish to achieve.


The pre-defined amounts are €400,000, €250,000 or €120,000 for a Cooperation Partnership and €60,000 and €30,000 for a Small-Scale Partnership.

It provides opportunities for mobility, partnerships, and policy dialogue through project funding, often reinforcing cross-sectoral cooperation with a specific focus on creativity.

Erasmus+ funding can be used for:

  • Project management and implementation – for preparing and carrying out the project
  • Learning and training activities – to support project implementation
  • Meetings and events – e.g. workshops to exchange practice or develop results
  • Project deliverables – producing results or outcomes
  • Sharing and promotion activities – aimed at sharing the project’s results

Any public or private body active in the fields of education, training, youth and sport may apply for funding within the Erasmus+ Programme.

A Small-scale Partnership is transnational and involves minimum two organisations from two different EU Member States or third countries associated to the Programme.

There is no maximum number of participating organisations in one partnership.

All participating organisations must be identified at the time of applying for a grant.

For applications submitted to National Agencies in the fields of school education, vocational education and training, adult education and youth, the same organisation (one OID) cannot be involved in more than 10 applications overall per deadline, either as applicant or partner.

To be considered for funding, Small-scale Partnerships must address either:

  • at least one horizontal priority

and/or

  • at least one specific priority relevant to the field of education, training, youth and sport that is mostly impacted.

Assessment Criteria:

  • Relevance (30%)
  • Quality of the project design and implementation (30%)
  • Quality of the partnership and cooperation arrangements (20%)
  • Impact (20%)
