Community Foundation Ireland Biodiversity Grant

Strand 1: €5k for community groups to work with an ecologist;

Strand 2: €7.5k for community groups to work with an ecologist and a land manager to classify habitats at landscape scale;

Strand 3: €10k for community groups who work with an ecologist and three to five land manager to classify habitats at landscape scale.

  • Governing Document - A governing document (a Constitution or Memorandum & Articles of Association).
  • Bank Details - A bank statement where the account matches the name of the applicant. We cannot fund individuals; bank statements must be in the name of the organisation.
  • Extras - Additional documents may be necessary for larger grants.

  • Projects must fulfil a Community Biodiversity Action Plan.
  • Must be done with a qualified Ecologist.
  • Must liaise with Landowners / Farmers / Local Authorities.
  • Include clear, realistic, and detailed costs and timescales.
