Training course- Fundamentals in Energy Renovation for Traditional Buildings.

The Heritage Council, in conjunction with the Digital Academy of the Built Environment (DASBE) and the Technological University of the Shannon, is providing an accredited training course on the Fundamentals in Energy Renovation for Traditional Buildings.

To get a taster for the problems the course will address, see this presentation by Colm Murray, Architecture Officer with The Heritage Council, given last June at the Irish Georgian Society’s Dublin Heritage Buildings Show. The presentation, 56 minutes long, is called Reducing Energy and Carbon use in Traditionally-built Houses.

The course is primarily aimed at professional specifiers of building energy renovation works, such as architects, engineers and building surveyors, and will also be of interest to local authority planning officials concerned with the architectural heritage. Closing date for the receipt of applications is 7th September 2022.
