Panel of Assessors - Museum Standards Programme for Ireland

The Heritage Council seeks to engage suitably skilled and experienced museum and cultural heritage collections care professionals to a panel of expert assessors for the Museum Standards Programme for Ireland (MSPI).

The Heritage Council seeks to engage suitably skilled and experienced museum and cultural heritage collections care professionals to a panel of expert assessors for the Museum Standards Programme for Ireland (MSPI).

Members of the Panel will be required to assess accreditation applications, which involves both reviewing submissions and supporting material as well as undertaking site visits. Panelists may also be requested by the Heritage Council to make occasional additional visits to sites applying for accreditation and / or provide feedback and advice on accreditation documentation as necessary.

Members of the panel may be requested to undertake other work that supports the accreditation programme as necessary. 

This panel has a lifespan of 3 years, commencing in 2026 until 2029.

Application Process:  

To apply, please provide the follow two documents:

  • A summary CV, of no more than 2 pages in length; 
  • A cover letter, outlining your interest and suitability for this panel, of no more than 2 pages in length
