Evaluation of National Heritage Week

The Heritage Council seeks the services of a consultant (s) to carry out an evaluation of National Heritage Week.

To ensure the impact and relevance of National Heritage Week and to maintain its key role in heritage management, promotion and engagement, within the context the emerging policy landscape for heritage and the changing role of local government, a review of its scope, objectives and structure is now required.


The successful applicant will carry out an evaluation of National Heritage Week (NHW) and present a report to the Council setting out the results of this analysis. This report will be required by close of business on 17 June 2021. The successful applicant will be provided with suitable briefing by the Council to allow the analysis to be carried out. The analysis should include, inter alia, the following:

  • To provide the Heritage Council with an evaluation and analysis of the impacts, and outcomes of NHW.
  • To analyse how NHW helps deliver on the strategic objectives of the HC and its parent department, Dept Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
  • Recommendations on the resource needs for NHW to ensure its continued success.


An overall contract cap is in place for this Tender: €25,000 (Ex VAT)
