‘Glorious Gardens’ for the Galway Garden Festival

‘Glorious Gardens’ is the theme of The Galway Garden Festival for 2012!

Specialist Nurseries from all over Ireland will attend and provide an opportunity to purchase rare and unusual plants at reasonable prices. Garden furniture, Pots, Tools, Ornaments, botanical art, sculpture and garden advice from experienced gardeners will be available.

Speakers include Veitch Medal winners Joy Larkcom & Helen Dillon; French designer Erwan Tymen; UK writer Tom Moggach; Dr. Matthew Jebb, Director of the National Botanic Gardens; and Garden Designer Diarmuid Gavin.

The botanical Art exhibition features work of six artists resident in Ireland.

Music including opera, jazz and brass, a garden bookshop, artisan food, a wide range of children’s entertainment each day .

Gate profits go to The Galway Hospice Foundation and The Christian Blind Mission (www.cbm.ie). A free hourly courtesy bus will be available each day from Galway Train Station out to the festival and back again.
