Membership of the Audit, Risk & Finance Committee of The Heritage Council.
The Heritage Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced external member to the Audit, Risk and Finance Committee of The Heritage Council who will, as a member of this committee support the board in the area of audit, risk and finance as documented in the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies.
The committee currently has a membership of three board members. One of these board members chairs the committee. The Financial Controller of The Heritage Council acts as secretary to the committee.
The committee is a standing committee of The Heritage Council and meets at least four times per year. These meetings are usually held in the head quarters of The Heritage Council, Church Lane, Kilkenny and last approximately two hours.
Expressions of interest should consist of a current CV and a letter of no more than 1,500 words detailing
• the specific contribution the applicant could make as a committee member with reference to requirements of the New Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies
• demonstrable experience of membership of committees of other national bodies or state agencies
• an interest in and commitment to The National Heritage would be an advantage
