Located within Killarney National Park, Muckross House was completed in 1843 and is presented to the public as a Victorian family mansion. Muckross Traditional Farms are situated adjacent to the house and depict rural life during the 1930s and 1940s, before the introduction of widespread electrification and mechanisation. Located within Muckross House, the Muckross Research Library collects documentary and pictorial material relating to the social history of County Kerry.
