The 16th century merchant’s house of the Rothe family, consisting of three separate town houses with interconnecting courtyards and burgage garden houses the collections of the Kilkenny Archaeological Society. The museum collection comprises artefacts of both local and national importance, from prehistoric to modern times and includes some fine examples of period costumes and paintings.
