Graveyard and Memorial Recording Workshops
Workshops being organised by Laois Partnership in association with Laois County Council, on the use of new technology to record graveyards and memorials. Training will be provided by Eachtra Archaeology and will involve all aspects of memorial recording, using will digital photography, GPS and web-based mapping. All are welcome and there is no charge. Workshops will be in two parts – the morning in the graveyard, trying out practical techniques, and the afternoon indoors learning about technological aspects of data management. Warm, weatherproof clothing recommended. Please bring a packed lunch. If you have digital camera, GPS, laptop, I-phone etc, bring your own, but equipment will be provided on the day. Meet at Aghaboe Abbey Car Park, near Ballacolla, 10am.
Saturday 2nd April: Meet at Kilmanman Graveyard, Near Clonaslee, 10am.
