The Biodiversity Institute’s research theme on Biodiversity Technologies aims to engage in agenda-setting research from which it develops web-based tools that enable an easy identification of species and the assessment of important regions for biodiversity conservation. This year’s Biodiversity Institute Symposium (BIOSymposium) highlights the use of emerging technologies in biodiversity science and conservation.
The symposium topics include: bioacoustics, citizen science, field data collection, mapping and genetic technologies. There will also be presentations that look at the ways in which these diverse technologies can change behaviours and encourage new thinking.
Further information regarding symposium can be found on the programme page. Registration is through the University of Oxford online shop (Register). Accommodation at one of the University Colleges - St Annes College, Balliol College, or Trinity College - can also be booked through the online shop.
