Walls 400! Amateur Photographic Competition 2012

The Foyle Camera Club and the Holywell Trust today announced the Walls 400! Amateur Photographic Competition 2012. Entrants are invited to submit photos of the City Walls which best reflect the theme ‘Derry’s Historic City Walls – a monument of national significance’ by the closing date of 28th September 2012. The winning entries will be announced on 30th November 2012 and will be displayed in a public exhibition in the Walled City.  

2013 is the City Walls’ 400th anniversary and the winning entries will be used as part of the City Walls Heritage Project in a range of activities promoting the use of the City Walls as a resource for learning and participation. There are three categories with the following prizes for winning entries:

Junior - Under 10

  • First Prize £100
  • 3 Runner-up prizes £50

Youth – Under 18

  • First Prize £200
  • Runner-up  £100

Adult – Over 18

  • First Prize £400
  • Runner-up £200
