Ireland’s inland waterways are important parts of our transport and industrial heritage. They hold aesthetic, recreational and spiritual values, as well as important habitats for many forms of wildlife.

In November 2008 The Heritage Council hosted a seminar to progress the work of its Shannon Waterway Corridor Studies and to explore ways for all agencies involved in management of the Shannon to work together. You can download copies of the presentations delivered at the seminar below.
