Over the last 20 years we have worked to put in place infrastructure and networks to enable communities to take responsibility for and participate in the development and conservation of their heritage assets.
The Heritage Council’s mission is to engage, educate and advocate to develop a wider understanding of the vital contribution that our heritage makes to our social, environmental and economic well-being.
The report provides evidence and background information on constructions skills deficits and training needs for building conservation. It may be used to support submissions to the newly-formed Apprenticeship Council.
The Heritage Council has developed and currently manages heritage projects and initiatives throughout Ireland. We also work with Local Authorities and community groups to ensure that our national heritage is valued, maintained and promoted.
