The Heritage Council seeks to protect and enhance the richness, quality and diversity of our national heritage for everyone. It works with its partners to increase awareness of our national heritage.

Planning Grants Programme

Welcome to the Planning Grants Programme. This section outlines information and guidelines to the following Planning Grants schemes:

Discretionary Funding: The Heritage Council provides discretionary funding to local authorities and local heritage groups to support planning projects such as Village Design Statements, Heritage Appraisals, Public Realm Plans etc.

Please Note
In light of current changes the Heritage Council is reviewing its grants schemes and will be proposing a number of changes to existing schemes with new criteria for 2010. This work is currently underway.  Please check back for further information or register for our online newsletter on the front page for updates.
