CELT Weekend in the Woods

Location: Bealkelly Woods, Tuamgraney, Co Clare
2-day courses in Traditional & Sustainable Skills
Come join us, in a magnificent lake-side woodland, carpeted with Bluebells, and create a handmade item of real beauty to take home with you using traditional skills. Courses running are : Musical Instrument Making, Bowl & Spoon Carving, Knife making, Blacksmithing, Coppersmithing, Natural Building, Silversmithing, Sugan Chair Making, Herb-lore, Basketry, Fishing for Beginners (course run by published angling author!), Felt-craft (both 'Wet' Felting and Needle Felting), Rustic Furniture Making, Longbow making, Wood carving, Spinning Weaving & Natural Dyeing, Dry-stone & Lime mortar Walling & for 8-14 year olds - Adventure Bushcraft
Cost: Adults €130, Youngsters €110 (both prices incl Weekend Membership - a small materials charge, payable on the weekend, will apply to most courses).
Free Camping for participants, with basic, but friendly, facilities.
Cafe serving teas, coffees, sweet things, pancakes, muffins, fruit etc as a fundraiser for CELT. Many home-baked, with some spelt, & gluten free / sugar free etc. Good wholesome vegetarian lunches served both days, approx €7 a head. Handmade Pizzas served from our Cob Oven on both Sat & Sun evenings as a fundraiser for CELT. Self-catering also welcomed (and theres always a couple of campfires going).
