The Forum will comprise presentations on public engagement by John Gibney - Historical Insights Ireland; Marguerite O’Molloy - Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA); Theresa Loftus - Monaghan County Museum; Susan Holland - Crafts Council of Ireland; Dermot Mulligan - Carlow County Museum; Cara-Jan O’Callaghan; and Jenny Papassotiriou, Office of Public Works – Historic Properties. The afternoon session will focus on Museums and Mental Health with presentations by Morrigan Mason, Bodelwyddan Castle Trust, Wales, and Claire Meaney, http://www.artsandhealth.ie/.
The Forum will end with a workshop/demo run by Arteffact, a project run by four museums in North Wales (UK) aimed at improving the mental health and wellbeing of people experiencing mental distress through creative engagement in museums and galleries, finding inspiration in art and historical artefacts.
