The Irish Workhouse Centre, Portumna reopens
The Irish Workhouse Centre, Portumna reopens from the 1st April 2012 and will be open 7 days per week until 30th September 2012.
The centre is located in one of the best preserved real workhouses in the country. Visits include a guided tour and an introductory film. The conservation works were grant-aided by the Heritage Council.
Open daily 9am to 6pm, €5 and €3 concession.
