Horticultural Therapy Programme
Many people know about our primary work producing vegetable seeds and fruit trees, but may not be aware of the community services and activities that are hosted on our site in East Clare. Every week in the spring and summer Enable Ireland brings a group of adults with developmental disabilities to Seed Savers for horticultural therapy.
If it's chilly or wet the group does activities in our Horticultural Therapy Unit, which is equipped with special wheelchair-accessible planting beds. If the weather is good we like to get them out into the gardens and orchard so they can experience the peace and beauty of the land.
