getthere.ie - Transport Website
getthere.ie is a transport website which provides comprehensive public and private bus and rail information for Ireland, North and South. It lists schedules for the major state operators (Bus Eireann, Irish Rail, Translink) alongside private coach operators. So when you need to get from A to B, GetThere will give you all options in one place. GetThere aims to contribute towards a more sustainable transport system, by enabling people to make choices that include public transport and carsharing.
It has been online since 2008 and had over 300,000 unique visitors in 2011.
Timetables are reorganised to focus on a particular route, and are presented in a passenger friendly format. Where there is no direct transport connection between two locations, a multi-stop route is calculated which may include more than one bus operator. The site can suggest routes through different parts of the country depending on what is quicker at a given time of day.
New operators and services are continually being added. To get your local or

Members of the public can add carshare offers and requests to be listed
alongside traditional scheduled services, making it more likely that their
carshare is seen by the right person traveling the same way. There were over
1000 carshare users in 2011.
