New book on Wicklow villages now available
“Wicklow Villages - a Historical guide” a new publication from the Heritage Office of Wicklow County Council is now available. The book traces the development of villages in county Wicklow, explaining how their current appearance is linked to their long history, and highlighting aspects of the natural and built heritage that contribute most positively to their character.
Produced by Wicklow County Council as an action of the county Heritage Plan, with support from The Heritage Council, Wicklow Villages is written by Wicklow based author Pat Dargan, and edited by Deirdre Burns, Heritage Officer. The book is available to purchase from Wicklow County Council buildings, Wicklow Town for €4.50 + €1.00 for post.
