Our architectural heritage is one of the most tangible aspects of our heritage. By conserving our historic buildings we help to preserve them for future generations to enjoy as part of their heritage, just as we do now.

Research Funds & Grants

The Heritage Council annually commits funds of approximately €1.3 million to projects ranging from modest thatched houses to major properties such as Russborough House, County Wicklow. The administration of architectural grants by the Heritage Council has proven to be highly effective in prioritising and making the best use of limited funding.

The Heritage Council offers grant assistance for a wide range of projects and schemes.
