Humans have occupied Ireland for the past 10,000 years, leaving us with a rich legacy of archaeological monuments and landscapes. We work to conserve this unique archaeological heritage.


Space and settlement in the Middle Ages

The conference will take place in the Trinity Long Room Hub building, Trinity College Dublin on Friday May 27th and Saturday May 28th.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Tómas O Carragáin of UCC and the conference will feature sessions entitled:

  • Landscape and Environment;
  • Domestic Architecture;
  • Settlement, Nucleation and Urban Space;
  • Church, Culture and Society;
  • Maritime Settlement and Trade;
  • Castles in the landscape.
